February Intake
February Intake in the UK
Start your UK degree in February instead of waiting for September
Several of our partner universities run a February start. It is the intake to look at if you missed September, if your documents were not ready in time, or if you want to start sooner than next autumn.

Who the February Intake Suits
September is the main UK intake and January is the established second one. February sits alongside January at a smaller group of universities, and the places go quickly because fewer courses are open.
It works well if you are waiting on an English test result, if your financial documents need more time to season, or if a September application was refused and you want to reapply properly rather than rush. It is also worth considering if you have just finished your +2 or bachelor and do not want a long gap on your record.
What to know before you plan around it
- Course choice is narrower than September, and some universities open postgraduate courses only
- Places are limited, so applying early matters more than the published deadline
- Entry requirements are the same as any other intake, not relaxed
- Your financial documents must still meet the current UKVI maintenance rules

Timeline
When to Start a February Application
Work backwards from the start date, not forwards from today. These are the stages, not fixed dates, because every university sets its own deadlines.
- Around five to six months before: shortlist courses and check your transcripts against entry requirements.
- Four to five months before: sit or resit your English test if you need one.
- Three to four months before: submit the application and collect your offer letter.
- Two to three months before: pay the deposit and request your CAS.
- Six to ten weeks before: hold your funds for 28 consecutive days and submit the visa application.
- Two to four weeks before: book flights, arrange accommodation and attend your pre-departure briefing.
Priority visa services can shorten the wait, but never plan on them being available. Start earlier instead.

Questions
February Intake FAQs
Is the February intake easier to get into?
No. Entry requirements are the same as September. What differs is the number of courses open and the number of places, both of which are smaller, so applying early matters more.
Which UK universities have a February intake?
On our partner list, Harper Adams University, BPP University, the University of Bedfordshire, University College Birmingham and Buckinghamshire New University currently run February or spring starts. Availability changes between intakes, so ask us to confirm.
Can I do a bachelor degree in the February intake?
Sometimes. University College Birmingham and the University of Bedfordshire offer undergraduate courses in this intake, while Buckinghamshire New University runs postgraduate courses only. It depends on the university and the year.
How late can I apply for a February start?
There is no single deadline. Universities accept applications while places remain, but you also need time for the offer, deposit, CAS and visa. Starting five to six months ahead is comfortable; anything under three months is tight.
