Harper Adams University has spent 125 years combining practical education, research and industry engagement, and its subjects now reach far beyond traditional farming — into artificial intelligence, data science, engineering, robotics, food technology, animal health, veterinary science and sustainability.
It is a small, focused university of around 5,400 students from more than 30 countries, built around a 494-hectare working farm, specialist laboratories and a Veterinary Education Centre. Almost every undergraduate degree includes a paid industry placement year, which is the main reason its graduate employment results are so strong.

Harper Adams University Entry Requirements for Nepalese Students
Requirements are set course by course. Send us your documents and our counsellors will check your eligibility — including whether direct entry or a foundation year is the right route for you.
Academic requirements
- Undergraduate: completed +2 / A Levels or an equivalent qualification, with the grades and any subject requirements set by your chosen course
- Master's (MSc, MProf): normally an honours degree in a related subject — most courses ask for the equivalent of a UK 2:2, and research routes ask for a 2:1
- Relevant work experience can strengthen an application, particularly for agri-business and technology courses
- Applicants who need a student visa are also interviewed as part of the application process
English language requirements
You need to show English at CEFR B2 level. Accepted tests include:
- IELTS Academic: 6.0 overall for undergraduate, 6.5 for postgraduate — no band below 5.5 (General IELTS is not accepted)
- PTE Academic: 60 for undergraduate, 64 for postgraduate, minimum 59 in each part
- TOEFL iBT: 80 for undergraduate, 88 for postgraduate
- LanguageCert Academic (SELT): 65 for undergraduate, 70 for postgraduate
- PSI Skills for English B2 (SELT): pass in all four components
Tests must be taken within two years of your course start date. If yours is older, the university may ask for extra evidence such as an MOI letter or an academic reference. Compare test scores on our IELTS score comparison page, or read about studying in the UK without IELTS.
Seats are limited, so send your documents as early as you can.
