JOB TITLE: Marketing and Commercial Managers

JOB PURPOSE:
The primary purpose of this position is to develop, implement, and manage effective marketing and commercial strategies that align with the institution’s overall objectives. The role encompasses responsibility for student recruitment campaigns, institutional branding, market analysis, partnership development, and income generation activities. Marketing and Commercial Managers are expected to maintain compliance with relevant regulatory and institutional frameworks, promote ethical business practices, and ensure the delivery of accurate and professional communication across all platforms. The role directly contributes to business sustainability, market positioning, and institutional growth in both domestic and international arenas.
RESPONSIBILITIES UNDER THE CODE OF PRACTICE:
• Ensuring all marketing and commercial practices are transparent, ethical, and legally compliant.
• Handling marketing data, business leads, and partner information with strict confidentiality and in accordance with GDPR or applicable data protection laws.
• Ensuring that all published promotional materials and verbal representations are accurate, evidence-based, and not misleading.
• Complying with advertising standards, regulatory guidelines, and institutional policies for digital, print, and verbal marketing.
• Refraining from the dissemination of false or exaggerated claims in student recruitment or partnership communications.
• Conducting due diligence on all commercial partnerships and third-party agreements.
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of international education policies, including UKVI and other relevant compliance frameworks.
• Adhering to intellectual property laws and ensuring originality in all marketing content.
ROLE:
• To lead and manage the execution of strategic marketing plans for student recruitment and business development.
• To oversee the creation, coordination, and implementation of promotional campaigns across various channels.
• To manage institutional partnerships with agents, organizations, and stakeholders to maximize recruitment and commercial growth.
• To monitor market trends and generate insights to inform strategy and improve campaign effectiveness.
• To maintain strict adherence to institutional branding, messaging guidelines, and regulatory frameworks.
Main Duties:
The main duties of the Marketing and Commercial Managers include, but are not limited to:
• Planning and delivering integrated marketing campaigns to promote programs and services domestically and internationally.
• Conducting regular market research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities for growth.
• Developing, reviewing, and disseminating promotional materials, including brochures, videos, digital ads, and website content.
• Managing online presence through official websites and social media channels in line with institutional brand guidelines.
• Establishing and maintaining strong commercial partnerships, including negotiation and execution of contracts with agents and stakeholders.
• Overseeing the development and use of CRM systems and databases to track campaign outcomes and commercial activities.
• Monitoring, analysing, and reporting on performance metrics (e.g. lead generation, conversion rates, and ROI).
• Ensuring all marketing and commercial activities comply with internal policies, GDPR, and other applicable legal requirements.
• Coordinating institutional presence at exhibitions, educational fairs, and networking events.
• Delivering training to internal staff and external representatives (e.g. agents) regarding institutional updates, campaigns, and compliance obligations.
• Collaborating with internal departments to align marketing efforts with admissions, operations, and compliance requirements.
• Preparing periodic reports on campaign performance, market analysis, commercial activity, and risk assessments.
• Contributing to staff meetings and management discussions to provide insights and recommend improvements.
• Promoting a professional and collaborative working environment, demonstrating commitment to team objectives and institutional values.
